Over break I read the book Angels and Demons and the book is a must read book that I would recommend to anyone. The author Dan Brown creates a electrifying thriller with this book he created a scenario where anti-matter has been stolen. The only people that can basically save the Vatican are Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon and CERN scientist Vittoria Vetra. First Robert Langdon receives a fax,"The image on the page was that of a human corpse... The man was branded... imprinted with a single word... Illuminati" (Brown 5-6). At this instance Robert knew something was wrong when he received the message he knew the organisation had been long gone but now he was having second thoughts on that. What would you do in this instance would you stay idle or would you help CERN find out what is happening?
After what seemed like no time Robert had reached CERN a science facility, where he saw the body of the man that was branded. This is when Vittoria Vetra learns that her father is dead and the anti-matter has been stolen. Even a small amount of can destroy 5 miles and after some clues they found out that the substance had been in Saint Peters. This is where the conclave was taking place for a new pope because the previous one had passed away. They realized the group was trying to attack the church and they had a limited time before the matter would detonate. Through the Vatican news had spread of the time bomb and time was running short and to make matters worse the tourists didn't evacuate they just wanted to see what was going on.
